Facebook changes Facebook Sidebar chat, reported by several users. Now your favorite online friends to appear at the top of the chat, a separate list with the name "online friends". This makes it easier to find friends Facebook chat with often.

The cause of the problem?
It seems that most of these more oddball updates may be the result of testing the fill where Facebook rolls out new features to a subset of your users before you decide if or when it will roll the rest of the install base.
Updates can also be the cause of the problem, few people seem to be experiencing with the site this morning, which to date include the inability to sign, the trouble with using Facebook Connect, the problem of "Liking" things, the inability to write on the walls of friends and the inability to send status updates.

After we changed the way that Facebook chat works a few weeks ago, we got lots of feedback that people missed the opportunity to see all of their online friends. Today we made the changes to re-enable this function; Facebook chat now shows you the friends who interact with the most as the rest of your friends who are currently online.
Mini news feed "you mean this news feed test we work (and has for some time) and are associated with the changes we made yesterday.
Updated 2: Facebook wanted us to know that these issues with slow this morning were not linked to the chat and site works normally now.
